Kissing Doorknobs By: Terry Spencer Hesser
Kissing Doorknobs is about a girl, Tara who has OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). I found this book interesting, but I thought things were strange while reading it. Such as her mother. She got tired of of Tara doing "weird" things like praying everytime someone cursed or kissing the doorknob 33 times before she could leave the house, so her mother would slap her and Tara wouldn't even care. It actually made her want to hug her mom and want to be closer to her. Another thing I thought was strange was that her parents took her to so many specialists that none of them knew what was really wrong with her. But overall I do think that this is a good book and it explains OCD very well especially at the end when she finally finds out that thats what she has. Also my favorite part is when she meets a boy, Sam and she finds out that she's not the only one with OCD.
